Suggestions for Using
LoveStones for Communal
and Liturgical Reflection, Prayer and Practice:
- Reflection/study/prayer/youth/confirmation
groups - create circles of 10 or less. Invite each
participant to draw a Love Stone and reflect on what St. Paul might have
meant, and then share what it would look like to live according to that
teaching today. Return the LoveStones and repeat the process.
- Put sets of LoveStones in a beautiful, large bowl or
basket. Invite each member of the congregation to draw one Love
Stone on the way out of Sunday liturgy to use as a
prayer practice for the coming week. Have them return the LoveStones the
following Sunday, and create a few minutes during the liturgy for people
to share their experiences. Repeat the process for as many weeks as
desired.
- Give a set of LoveStones to each family
in the parish for use in honoring the year of St. Paul with unceasing
prayer.
- Give a set of LoveStones to each couple in
marriage prep and have the couples reflect as a group on
selected love stones.
